Organized by topic and geography, Mercer Select is designed with simplicity and consistency in mind. Whether you only have time to scan the headlines or need to do in-depth research, Mercer Select has the content you need, and e-mail delivery options make it easy to keep up.

Membership offerings for multinational employers

Global basic membership is geared toward HR generalists at multinationals and covers human capital, executive remuneration, health & benefit, investment, and retirement developments and issues around the world. Global basic members have access to Mercer articles, about 30 full-text newspaper articles a day, and a wide spectrum of Library resources. Global basic members can listen to our weekly HRadio podcast and can request customized research assistance (charges apply).

Global Insights premium membership provides access to compensation, benefits, mobility, and HR policies and practices for multinationals and companies entering global markets. Global Insights premium members have access to all of the content available to Global basic members, plus rich and varied Insights reports that provide timely and comprehensive global coverage of HR issues. Report titles include Global Salary Structures Worldwide, Severance Pay in Major Markets around the World, Making Informed HR Decisions in China, and HR Navigator - Essential Information for Middle East & Africa. You must be a Global basic member to be eligible for Global Insights premium membership.

  • Global Insights premium partial members can access 15 annual Insights reports selected at the start of membership.
  • Global Insights premium full members have unlimited access to all Insights reports (we expect about 50 new reports annually). Members can also access valuable tools including video presentations.

Membership offerings for UK employers

UK retirement membership provides access to Mercer-authored in-depth Technical Information Sheets (TIS), providing timely, in-depth analysis of major legislative, regulatory and judicial developments with regard to UK pensions; about 10 full-text newspaper articles a day; a compliance manual on pension scheme disclosure for occupational schemes; legislation diary, which provides a chronological summary of recent and proposed legislation relating to UK pension schemes; principal financial statistics and pension facts required by pension scheme administrators; and a range of topic pages on retirement-related matters such as early leavers, mergers and acquisitions, trustee duties, and scheme design. In addition, UK retirement members can sign up for e-mail delivery of Select News and TIS Alerts and can request customized research assistance (charges apply).

UK retirement legislative update membership is designed for organizations with less complex pension schemes. Legislative update members get access to news and third-party content, e-mail options, Select News and summaries of Technical Information Sheets (TIS). In addition, UK retirement legislative update members can request customized research assistance (charges apply).

UK retirement registered membership provides short summaries of a limited selection of content otherwise available to UK retirement members.

Membership offerings for US employers

US basic membership, for HR generalists, covers executive remuneration, health & benefits, human capital, retirement, and talent topics. US basic members have access to Mercer articles, including Select News and most GRIST articles, which are legal news and analysis by Mercer experts; about 30 full-text newspaper articles a day; and a wide spectrum of Library resources. US basic members also get access to H&B ComplianceLink, an abridged version of H&B ComplianceConnection. (The full version of ComplianceConnection is available only to US H&B premium members -- see below.) Basic members can listen to our weekly HRadio podcast. In addition, basic members can sign up for e-mail delivery of GRIST, Today’s Headlines and Weekly Highlights and can request customized research assistance (charges apply).

US premium membership offers topic-specific premium options: executive remuneration, health & benefits, and retirement. Uniquely designed for specialists, US premium offerings include the most high-value analysis and insights from Mercer and other sources in each topic area. US premium members have access to all of the content available to US basic members, plus additional information and features. You must be a US basic member to be eligible for any of the three US premium memberships.

  • US H&B premium members can access H&B ComplianceConnection, which provides primer materials on major US health and benefit issues, organized by employee life events (e.g., hiring, marriage, termination) and topics. H&B ComplianceConnection assists with the administration of health care and group benefit plans and includes sample notices and forms, compliance calendars, and a glossary of important terms.
  • US retirement premium members can access an online training course on the basics of retirement plans in the US. The course is intended for staff with minimal or no experience with retirement plans. US Retirement premium members can allow up to 10 of their colleagues to take the 2.5 hour course.
  • US executive remuneration premium members can access the most high-value analysis and insights from Mercer and other sources, and will soon have access to in-depth primer pages to spotlight special topics such as executive remuneration at tax exempt organizations and nonqualified deferred compensation.

US Social Security & Medicare (US SS&M) membership is tailored to those focused on issues pertaining to the US Social Security & Medicare programs. US SS&M members have access to the Social Security and Medicare News quarterly newsletter; an annual Online Guide to Social Security and Medicare; and the Social Security Benefits Calculator for retirement, survivors, and disability benefits. Also, they have access to GRIST, Select News, Today’s Headlines and Library content on SS&M topics. US SS&M members are automatically signed up to receive our Weekly Highlights e-mail publication.

US HIPAA Self-Assess Toolkit membership provides sample policies and procedures, a risk analysis workbook and other helpful resources designed to help organizations manage their ongoing HIPAA security compliance obligations. The Self-Assess Toolkit includes information on recent HIPAA enforcement activities, Mercer publications on HIPAA, and summaries of the latest government security guidance. US HIPAA Toolkit members are also provided access to US HRKnowHow (see below), and are automatically signed up to receive our Weekly Highlights e-mail publication.

US H&B registered (aka HRKnowHow) membership provides a sampling of Select H&B content. This membership includes access to H&B ComplianceLink, an introductory version of H&B ComplianceConnection that provides information on health care and group benefit plan administration through topic pages, notices and forms, and compliance calendars. US registered members are automatically signed up to receive our Weekly Highlights e-mail publication.
